Day 43: Swimming at Grammy's Pool
Since we just got back from vacation, we all needed a chance to regroup and get some rest. So today we went to Grammy's pool for the first time this summer. It was hot but the pool was empty! The boys showed Grammy all of their new pool tricks they learned on vacation as well as the improvement in their swimming skills! After swimming for a while, we ate lunch at Grammy's and then went home for a much needed nap!

Day 42: Unpacking
Short and sweet today since we just got back from vacation late last night. I spent the morning unpacking, doing laundry, and watching the boys take out EVERY LAST TOY we own! I think they missed their stuff!

Day 41: Heading Home
Today is our sixth anniversary and we're spending it how we have typically spent it in years past...heading home from a vacation. Not much to say about that except that so far traffic has been good and we're making excellent time. Of course, we'll have to stop and eat at the Cracker Barrel!! I'll end with a great (and traditional) shot from yesterday. We always take these pictures on the bus when we're on our way home. Then we start planning our next trip to the happiest place on Earth!

Day 40: Animal Kingdom
Our day started off bad (Peter left the passes back at the hotel) but luckily got better. We started the day riding Triceratops Spin, which is basically Dumbo with dinos. Then we all went to Finding Nemo The Musical. Nemo is their new favorite movie and all fish are Nemo right now so it was good timing. They seemed to love the music, interesting props/fish, colors, and of course, Nemo! We also spent quite a bit of time in the dino dig area. The boys loved climbing in and out of the Jeep and sliding down all of the slides.
While the boys took an afternoon nap (supervised by Meme), the rest of us rode Expedition Everest, a favorite at Animal Kingdom. Then, once the boys were awake again, we took the train over to Raffiki's Planet Watch. Grant was a hoot, petting every. single. goat. Check out the video below. It makes me laugh every time I watch it!

Day 37: Goodbye Cape Coral, Hello Disney World
We said goodbye to the house in Cape Coral today and made the three hour drive north to the happiest place on Earth! Today is also the day that we get to see Daddy again! After three days we've really missed him, me especially!
We had a busy morning packing up but I was able to occupy the boys' time with swimming while Teri finished up the laundry, changing the beds, cleaning, etc... Then after lunch we headed out. The boys pretty much slept the entire way, which was good because they were a bit crabby. They woke up just in time to see the sign that welcomes you to Disney. They were beyond thrilled to count all of the Disney transportation buses that they saw on our way Old Key West. They were in heaven!!
Once we reunited with Meme and Pappy (they drove up with the girls earlier that morning), we unpacked yet again and then rode the bus back to the main house at the resort. We decided to take the boat to Downtown Disney and Pappy stayed back to wait for Peter. Then, we all met up at dinner. The boys really love taking the various forms of transportation while staying at Disney. It's a little boy's dream come true!!

Yes, JT clapped upon realizing this was OUR bus and we were going to get on
Grant loved sitting in the little chairs watching 101 Dalmations

Day 36: Park and Pool
This morning Dale, Teri, the boys and I hopped on the bikes and took the boys to the park that Peter and I found back in April. It was a pretty good day for it with a nice breeze and occasional clouds to block the sun. When we returned we cooled off in the pool and then had lunch! Luckily we didn't get rained out this time, although it did rain that evening on our way out to dinner.

Day 35: Cheap thrills
For a toddler, a box is a pretty amazing thing! Today at the house in Cape Coral, Nana unpacked her beach dishes, which left the boys with some cheap fun! This kept them occupied for quite some time. They stacked them, they crawled through them, and they pushed their cars through over and around them. Pretty entertaining!
