Day 29: Family Pics and Island Cow

Let me just start off by saying that I'm glad our day ended better than it started.  Today we had our family beach portraits by Nick Adams Photography in Sanibel.  We chose the lighthouse for our location and met at 9:00 a.m.  Usually this is a good time for the boys because they are well rested and up for just about anything.  Apparently my expectations were WAY too high for this session because it was AWFUL.  It was hot, humid, sandy, and there was little to no relief.  The boys, and specifically Grant, were horrible.  I have NEVER had either of them behave so badly.  Luckily JT was able to work his way out of a bad mood by throwing shells into the ocean and playing in the sand.  But Grant went from bad to worse with only a moment of quiet time with some decent pictures in between.  If leaving him on the beach wouldn't have been neglect, I would have done it!  So, Nick got very few shots.  I guess this will make our decisions much easier when we view our photos on Thursday!
On the positive side, we went to our favorite restaurant in Sanibel, the Island Cow, for dinner.  Yum yum! And Grant couldn't have been happier!  He even posed for the pictures you see below.  Baby jerk!
